More intrigue...

Some more interesting developments down at Walt Disney World...

Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) has hastily constructed a new project office at Walt Disney World, on the grounds of the never used air strip, not far from the Magic Kingdom. They already have an office inside of the Magic Kingdom that they're using for work on the Fantasyland expansion, so this certainly isn't for that project. What could this new office location be for? The rumored DVC units to be built at the Grand Floridian? The revitalized Downtown Disney? Or something else entirely?

While nothing is confirmed, it's important to keep in mind that the D23 convention is a month away and any big announcements Disney is likely to make will be made there, where fan and media interest will be high. Tom Staggs has already promised some "surprise announcements" related to the park for the convention. Perhaps this is a precursor to such a surprise announcement?

Again, it might amount to nothing, but this bit of information, combined with the "secret" visit of Bob Iger, Tom Staggs, Joe Rohde, John Lasseter, and Steve Jobs to the resort last week might point towards something bigger. Perhaps much bigger. Stay tuned...
